Раньше, было сложно выбрать, что почитать или что приобрести для изучения, того или иного направления. Или узнать о новинках в сфере электроники или техники. О новых схемах, или новых микросхемах которые стали выпускать, в замен старых с более улучшенными характеристиками, или более широким функционалом. Статей с новыми схемами, или новыми идеями. Был огромный выбор доступных журналов, по электронике и технике. Где делились своими разработками или идеями. Были книги, по разным направлениям, в плоть до того как построить свой самолет, или сделать простейший детекторный приемник. С появлением компьютеров, были популярны литературные издания как по изучению ЭВМ. Так и в дальнейшем по схемам управления портами, или по средствам управления портов ЭВМ или ПК автоматизировать жилище. Написав при этом простую программу, и о том как научится программировать чтобы ее написать, так же было масса литературы. Причем разных авторов, которые отличались своей подачей.
Теперь этого нет, конечно же спасибо тем кто не останавливается и издает подобную литературу, но количество ее так ничтожно, что в двух этажном книжном магазине, помещается на одном стеллаже, в месте с обычными учебниками. Где куда большую часть стеллажей занимает пособия по психологии. Или по литературным произведениям.
Когда есть прогресс в технике и в электронике, об этом раньше публиковались статьи или целые издания посвящённые направлениям. Сейчас это только история. И найти подобное, скорей всего можно только в библиотеках.
За многие годы, что я провел в листании, и изучении книг, и журналов которые я открывал, информация из подобных изданий мной проще осваивалась, чем из материала на мониторе. Может потому что информация которая есть в интернете, может быть в любой момент переписана. А книги написаны так что исправить их просто нельзя. А значит информация которая в них выкладывается, должна быть куда пристальней проверена перед публикацией. Нежели рассматривать ее в сетевых изданиях.
А может потому, что в интернете, пишутся статьи, не инженерами, а людьми без знания дела. А в книгах чувствовалась именно сильная идея, которая со всех сторон, подкреплена грамотными факторами, которые вряд ли, не посвящённый в это человек, смог бы так просто объяснить или описать.
А постоянно читая информацию, которую дают люди не посвящённые в данную тематику, приводит к замыливанию глаза, что со временем, превращается в то что так и должно быть. Без возможности понимания, или осмысливания темы, или без выбора вариантов.
Простыми словами, чисто мое оценочное суждение, что та информация которая сейчас востребована, это чужое навязанное мнение, без зерна, которое позволяет осмыслить идею самостоятельно, а не быть обычным потребителем. Написали это Хорошо, и все так начинают считать, написали плохо, и опять все стали соглашаться. А по сути это мнение только одного человека, и для его условий. В то время как для другого человека, все может стать в корне противоположным.
С прогрессом, технологии, меняются, техника и электроника совершенствуется, как и химия которая может меняться в зависимости от технологии. Остаются неизменны только физические и химические процессы, которые могут быть не актуальны, за счет изменения, или увеличения эффективности, или за счет изменения хим состава, корпуса обработки, что может удешевить и улучшить старое исполнение. Это я к тому, что старая литература, на современный лад, без понимания многих факторов, становится не полезной, а бесполезной. Когда не понимаешь, и не принимаешь в расчет, чем она отличается от современной. Что происходит сплошь и рядом.
Для примера можно взять тему АКБ, которую мусолят многие авторы, приводя в пример технологии, описанные для батарей которых уже нет в продаже, очень давно. Тем ни менее рекомендуя применять методы того времени на современных батареях, которые от тех методов просто быстрей разрушаются. Из за технологии, которая стала более эффективной, и удешевленной, и надежной по сравнению с описанной. Но да служат они меньше. Но надежность и эффективность, с более низкой ценой, оно того стоит.
Печально, что техническая литература, ушла с рынка, а то что осталось, не расширяет кругозор, или обучает, или дает идеи, как то что было раньше.

Having written a simple program at the same time, and there was also a lot of literature about how to learn to program in order to write it. Moreover, different authors who differed in their presentation.
Now this is not there, of course, thanks to those who do not stop and publish such literature, but its quantity is so negligible that in a two-story bookstore it fits on one rack, in a place with ordinary textbooks. Where most of the shelves are occupied by manuals on psychology. Or literary works.
When there is progress in technology and electronics, articles or entire publications devoted to directions have been published about this before. Now it’s just history. And you can find something similar, most likely only in libraries.
Over the many years that I spent paging through and studying books and magazines that I opened, information from such publications was easier for me to master than from the material on the monitor. Maybe because the information that is on the Internet can be rewritten at any time. And the books are written in such a way that they simply cannot be corrected. This means that the information that is laid out in them should be much more closely checked before publication. Rather than consider it in online publications.
Or maybe because on the Internet, articles are written, not by engineers, but by people without knowledge of the matter. And it was a strong idea that was felt in the books, which from all sides was backed up by competent factors that it is unlikely that a person who was not initiated into this could explain or describe so simply.
And constantly reading the information that people who are not dedicated to this topic give leads to blurring of the eye, which over time turns into what it should be. Without the ability to understand, or comprehend the topic, or without a choice of options.
In simple words, it is purely my value judgment that the information that is now in demand is someone else’s imposed opinion, without grain, which allows you to comprehend the idea on your own, and not be an ordinary consumer. They wrote it well, and everyone starts to think so, they wrote it badly, and again everyone began to agree. But in fact this is the opinion of only one person, and for his conditions. While for another person, things can become radically opposite.
With progress, technology changes, technology and electronics improve, as does chemistry, which can change depending on technology. Only the physical and chemical processes remain unchanged, which may not be relevant, due to a change, or increase in efficiency, or by changing the chemical composition, of the processing body, which can reduce the cost and improve the old design. This I mean that the old literature, in a modern way, without understanding many factors, becomes not useful, but useless. When you don’t understand and don’t take into account how it differs from the modern one. What happens all the time.
For example, we can take the topic of batteries, which many authors procrastinate, citing as an example the technologies described for batteries that are no longer on sale for a very long time. Nevertheless, recommending that the methods of that time be applied to modern batteries, which from those methods are simply destroyed faster. Because of the technology, which has become more efficient, and cheaper, and more reliable than described. But yes, they serve less. But reliability and efficiency, with a lower price, it’s worth it.
It is sad that technical literature has left the market, and what is left does not broaden the horizon, or teach, or give ideas, like what it was before.
